Four-wheeling

Today, my dad and I decided to go four-wheeling to Harrison Pass. We took the kids and this is their second time to go four-wheeling. We went to the top of the mountain. The picture doesn't do it justice. This was from about half way up.

In the fields between the mountians are dozens of flowers. We stopped in a field of Daises, but there were also fields of wild irises too. It was so beautiful to be out there. I am her to verify, that there are beautiful places in Nevada.
At the top of the top of the mountain was a small patch of snow. The kids got to play in it for a while. Their hands were so cold, but they still wanted to play in it.
My dad brought his 22 pistol just in case of mountain lions, but of course we had to check it out. Even the kids got to shoot it.
We started early in the morning and by the time we got done it was almost 1pm. Miss Caitlyn had to take her nap. She slept for about an hour like this: On the way back we found a rattlesnake. My dad went past it and by the time I got to it, the snake was not happy. My dad caught it and the kids did not want anything to do with it. So that was the highlights of our 22 mile trip.

Taking a Risk

So many of you know that I like sewing. When I posted my sewing projects on here, I had several people ask me to purchase some bags. I have sold 8 through my sister-in-law. I have opened my own blogspot since etsy was not working. So let the fun begin:

Caitlyn's First Hair Cut

Caitlyn's hair was growing uneven, so I decided to give it a trim. She had this long part(kind of a strip) going from the topof her head to the base of the neck. So I decided to trim it to look more full, and even. I asked her today how she wanted her hair and she told me like Snow White. So her hair is done like Snow White's

New Sewing Passion

So... One of my friends from our ward makes these bags and she loves making them. I thought I would ask her to teach me how to make them. She ended up giving me the pattern and they were so easy. Here is the first one I made and I plan on making more.
This is the second one she gave the pattern for. This purse is so cute!

My Mother-in-law loved the bags/purses that I was doing and suggested that I talk to my sister-in-law about selling them to her students that are going to France this summer. Jill told me that she told her students to get a bag with a flap and zipper. She told me if I could make it happen, then she would sell them to her students. So this is what I came up with and these are the patterns I am selling them in.

If anyone wants one made, Let me know.

Pappa's girl

The other day Clif went on a field trip to a construction site and the let him keep the hard hat. Caitlyn decided that she needed to wear it.

Easter EGGstravaganza

Our family had a great Easter Weekend! We started out with a Ward Easter Picnic/ Easter Hunt. The kids had a good time finding eggs and visiting with friends.
On Saturday, we went to Oklahoma for a picnic and easter fun. Grandma Polly, Uncle Joel, Aunt Jill, and cousin Tyson came with us. We ate lunch and played down by the lake and played with silly string and confetti eggs. Caitlyn really didn't know what to think of the silly string.

We ended the weekend with the best day ever, Easter Sunday! I love my kids!
